Contract: Full-time, long-term/permanent
Start date: ASAP or January 2026

Are you a teacher with a big heart, a creative mind, and a passion for making a real difference?
Would you thrive in a warm, family-like school where every small success is celebrated and no two days are the same?

A fantastic Special School in Watford is on the lookout for a caring, adaptable, and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join their supportive team. You'll be working closely with the SENCO and a team of experienced SEN TAs to deliver bespoke, engaging lessons to students aged 11-16, each with unique learning needs.

About the Role:

  • Deliver personalised lessons tailored to the individual needs of your students

  • Work closely with the SENCO to develop and adapt EHCP-led strategies

  • Collaborate with dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants who are truly part of the classroom team

  • Teach in a nurturing, well-resourced environment with a strong focus on student wellbeing

What we are looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) desireable but not essential

  • A patient, creative, and compassionate approach to teaching

  • SEN experience is not essential - the school welcomes applications from Primary specialists and those new to SEN

  • A genuine desire to support and inspire young people with additional needs

Why Join This School?

  • Warm, welcoming atmosphere - often described as "like a family"

  • Excellent leadership and SEN support structures

  • Ongoing CPD and professional development opportunities

  • A school that values empathy, individuality, and teamwork above all
