Design Engineer – Watton | £30,000 – £35,000 per year

Position 1 Recruitment is hiring a Design Engineer to join a long-standing engineering client in Watton. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical design experience, particularly using Autodesk Inventor.
What You’ll Do:
- Design hazardous area heaters, producing 3D models, calculations, and full documentation
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Ensure all designs meet certification standards and client specifications
- Work with Project Managers to provide design support and updates
- Liaise with subcontractors and vendors to ensure technical accuracy
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Proven mechanical design engineering experience
- Strong skills in Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D CAD software
- Excellent attention to detail and understanding of engineering documentation and standards
