You’ll assist with lesson delivery, help adapt learning resources, and ensure pupils remain engaged and confident in the classroom. Your support will play a vital role in their academic progress and overall wellbeing.The Candidate:You should hold a degree in any subject and demonstrate strong communication skills, patience, and a supportive approach. A genuine interest in working with students with SEN is essential. Previous experience in a similar role or working with young people will be an advantage.Requirements• Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.• Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.• Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.• Desire to work in education/with children – A strong interest in supporting students with additional needs and pursuing a career in education.• Experience working with children – Any relevant experience such as SEN support, mentoring, or volunteering is desirable but not essential.The School:This secondary school in Walsall is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and has a well-established SEN department. Staff are experienced and collaborative, with a focus on ensuring all students have access to the support they need.
