Warehouse Goods Out Manager
Working for a Prestigious and developing company in the home delivery market
Supporting the Operations Manager to ensure the safe, smooth and efficient goods out department
30,000 to 33,000 per annum - depending on experience
Afternoons - working between 12pm to 10:30pm - Monday to Friday
Based in Wednesbury to start - will move to Fradley Park Lichfield in the long term
Duties of a Warehouse Goods Out Manager
- Daily management of core home delivery processes; ensuring all goods-in, goods-out, inventory replenishment and cycle count activity is carried out in a timely and accurate manner.
- Daily management, coaching, development and motivation of staff, ensuring all relevant HR policies are followed.
- Supervising of all staff on shift ensuring they are managed in line with company standards
- To provide effective support to the Transport Manager and Assistant Manager to ensure constant improvement in all areas of the operation.
- Manage communications with service providers and Company stakeholders to ensure agreed targets are met and enquiries are responded to in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ensure all site H&S and MHE checks are completed as required; raising any issues direct to the Transport Manager/Health & Safety Officer as required.
- Ensuring warehouse housekeeping is kept to a high standard
- Preparation and participation in team meetings and planning groups as required
- Management and reporting on non-inventory assets (Pump trucks, vehicle kit stock, basic vehicle maintenance items etc) to minimise operational disruption and cost.
- Ensuring warehouse process systems are being followed and are correctly updates as and when needed
- Ensuring stock management/stock takes are completed and reported on a daily basis.
- Stock discrepancies are to be reported in the correct manner and format
- Processing inbound returns in a correct and timely manner
- Ensuring safe loading and unloading of vehicles whilst monitoring loading operatives.
Experience Required for a Warehouse Goods out Manager
- Good communicator who's able to positively engage with team members and relevant stakeholders.
- Excellent motivation skills; able to identify and address staff issues and concerns.
- Must be able to lead by example and champion the values of the Company.
- Must have good attention to detail and a passion to reduce errors and improve efficiency.
- A hands on role - involvement in loading and unloading vehicles as well as management of the depot team.
- Tenacious 'can do' attitude

- Logistics distribution and supply chain experience an advantage
Detail of a Warehouse Goods Out Manager
- Will be based in Wednesbury to start - but will be permanently based out of Fradley Park, Lichfield
- 30k to 33k dependent on experience
- Afternoon shift - from 12pm to 10:30pm - so could be 12pm to 8pm or a 1pm start Monday to Friday
- Previous warehouse management / goods out experience required
