Workchain is currently seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client based in Wednesbury on a permanent basis.
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, who has an experience of both mechanical and electrical repairs and servicing within a manufacturing environment, ideally within a FMCG company.
This role is being recruited for on a permanent basis.
Immediate interviews and starts are available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance including PPM and emergency repairs on manufacturing equipment
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations are met at all times
- Work closely with department managers and contractors to resolve issues efficiently
- Maintain tools, supplies and accurate service records
- Performing electrical and mechanical maintenance on machinery and site infrastructure
- Delivering planned preventative maintenance in line with CMMS schedules
- Responding quickly to breakdowns, carrying out effective fault finding and repairs
- Installing, testing, and commissioning new equipment
- Adhering to all health and safety, audit, and quality requirements
- Recording maintenance activities and keeping accurate logs up to date
- Providing mechanical support across departments when required
Key Experience:
- Hands on experience in maintenance engineering role and repairs within a manufacturing environment or FMCG company
- Strong fault finding and problem solving skills within a mechanical and electrical capacity
- Strong electrical bias with proven multi-skilled expertise
- 18th Edition ideally however all experience within electrics will be considered
- Experience within manufacturing, production or FMCG environments
- Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Clear understanding of health and safety compliance
Qualifications:
- Ideally a City & Guilds or MVQ / BTEC in Electrical Maintenance / Installation however all experience will be considered.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 7.00am to 4.00pm and 2.00pm to 10.00pm on a weekly rotating basis, Saturdays are on a rota basis, 7.00am to 12.00pm with time off given in lieu.
The starting salary is 43,000kpa, with excellent company benefits.
