Tradewind Recruitment are working with a special needs school in Wednesbury who are seeking dedicated SEN Science Teacher to join their specialist team from September on a full-time basis. The school caters to secondary-aged pupils with autism and moderate learning difficulties (MLD).

The Role:

As our SEN Science Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging and accessible Science lessons tailored to individual learning needs

Work collaboratively with support staff and therapists to ensure each pupil receives the care and attention they need

Adapt the curriculum to meet EHCP targets and SEN learning outcomes

Create a safe, stimulating, and structured classroom environment

Monitor and report on pupil progress regularly, contributing to review meetings and assessments

The successful candidate will:

Have previous teaching experience and skills of working with children across at least two key stages including the secondary phase.

Have experience of working with children with complex autism and communication difficulties

Have QTS status

Be a team player
