Full-Time Year 2 Teacher - Wellingborough
Start Date: As soon as possible

A well-regarded primary school in Wellingborough is seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis, starting immediately. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who is eager to inspire and support pupils at a crucial stage in their learning journey.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a Year 2 class, planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners. You will be expected to track pupil progress, prepare them for end of Key Stage 1 assessments, and create a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning. Collaboration with colleagues and contribution to the wider school community will also be key aspects of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum.

  • Support pupils of varying abilities, ensuring all make progress.

  • Prepare pupils for SATs and end of Key Stage 1 assessments.

  • Maintain excellent classroom management and promote positive behaviour.

  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues to support pupil development.

  • Contribute to whole-school initiatives and participate in staff meetings and training.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2.

  • Strong knowledge of the Year 2 curriculum and assessment requirements.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • A reflective and adaptable approach to teaching and learning.
