Job Purpose: To ensure traceability is maintained for all goods entering the business and are delivered to the appropriate area for use.

To ensure that items are delivered safely to our customers / suppliers either by packing in a suitable protective manner ready for a courier or delivering by the company vehicle.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Checking all goods entering the business and processing them through the Javelin system.

Transferring all material idents.

Cutting and issuing of stock and purchased material to the appropriate department for machining.

Ensuring the yard is kept in a safe, tidy, and organized way.

Delivering and collecting a wide variety of goods to different addresses generally within a 100-mile radius of base.

Unloading and loading on customers/suppliers premises where required

Packing and securing high value precision components ready for dispatch/delivery.

Building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers & suppliers ensuring they are a positive ambassador for Turnell & Odell.

Always Delivering exceptional customer service

Carrying out a daily check on the vehicle, equipment, and load for which you have responsibility, and reporting any defects ensuring that the axle and gross weights are compliant for maximum safety and protection on the road.

Ensuring the vehicle is kept clean and tidy.

Profile:

Counterbalance forklift trained; however training will be given to the right candidate.

Good communication skills.

Reasonable IT skills (use of Office etc)

Previous experience of working to deadlines.

Self-motivated and possessing the ability to work on own initiative as well as within a team.

Previous experience in a similar role
