Simply Education are seeking a committed and resilient Teaching Assistant to join our Alternative Provision (AP) team, supporting pupils who may be facing challenges such as behavioural difficulties, SEMH needs, or disrupted educational experiences.

This is more than a classroom role-it's an opportunity to inspire confidence, build trust, and make a real difference in the lives of students who need it most.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students on a 1:1 or small group basis, helping them engage with learning and develop life skills

  • Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff and external agencies to provide consistent, holistic support

  • Support the delivery of tailored learning activities both inside and outside the classroom

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with vulnerable or disengaged young people (education, youth work, mentoring, or care)
  • A calm, patient and flexible approach with strong behaviour management skills
  • A team player who is proactive and solution-focused
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and positive change
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, Youth Work, or equivalent) are beneficial but not essential

What We Offer:

  • A highly supportive and experienced team
  • Ongoing professional development and training in behaviour support, trauma-informed practice and more
  • A chance to work in a challenging but incredibly rewarding environment
  • The opportunity to be a vital part of a young person's journey toward success and stability

All candidates who register with Simply Education are required to provide references for the previous 2 years of work, as well as complete an enhanced DBS check. Due to COVID-19 regulations, any interviews we hold will be conducted over a Zoom call.
