Summary:
As General Manager, you will be the driving force behind operational excellence and strategic change within this high-growth logistics business. It is an exciting time to join as they embark on several transformational projects that will shape the future of their operations.
This is a pivotal and varied leadership role where you'll combine hands-on operational management with commercial oversight, ensuring the logistics network is fit for scale, as well as developing new customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing day-to-day operations across warehousing and transport.
- Inspire, manage, and develop operational & sales teams to deliver high performance, ensuring service levels and KPIs are met.
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence, whilst ensuring compliance across the whole operation at all times.
- Collaborate with wider teams to align operational strategy with business objectives and goals.
- Lead the successful execution of various transformational projects to facilitate business growth.
Key Skills / Experience:
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a fast-paced logistics operation.
- Strong commercial awareness and strategic mindset.
- Successful track-record of leading continuous improvement projects.
- Excellent people management and leadership skills.
- Previous experience driving growth is particularly desirable, as well as experience within ecommerce operations.
