Job Title: Food Production Operative/ Abattoir Operative
Location: Outskirts of Wellington, Somerset
Salary: £13.5hr (training rate) rising to potentially £15/hr after 12 weeks (permanent placement)
Hours: 6:00am start until finish (approx. 6:00pm) Working Days: Monday,Tuesday,Thursday & Friday Transport: Own transport essential due to rural location
Are you reliable, hardworking and ready to take on a fast-paced role in the food production industry? We’re seeking dedicated Operatives to support our poultry processing operations in a physically demanding but rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:-
Preparing birds for processing

De-feathering and handling carcasses

Hanging birds onto automated machinery

Maintaining hygiene and safety standards throughout
What We’re Looking For:

Strong work ethic and punctuality

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting

Comfortable with manual handling and repetitive tasks

Own transport is essential due to location

Previous experience in food production or abattoir work is a bonus—but not required
