About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a well-established business in Welshpool. This is a temporary ongoing role with an immediate start, offering a fantastic opportunity for an individual with strong accounts knowledge and SAGE experience to join a friendly and professional finance team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the daily financial operations of the business, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Processing purchase and sales invoices
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies
  • Managing and reconciling bank accounts
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Assisting with credit control duties and customer queries
  • Supporting month-end procedures and reporting
  • General administrative tasks related to the finance department
  • Using SAGE accounting software daily

Requirements:
  • Proven experience working as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar finance role
  • SAGE software experience is essential
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible and adaptable approach with a positive attitude
