The preparation, reconciliation, analysis and commentary of monthly Management Accounts for a number ofthe Groups business units to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
To assist the Finance Director as required with related reconciliations and ad-hoc enquiries.
Deliver service and support to internal and external customers in a friendly, welcoming, and courteousmanner with the aim of customer satisfaction and long-term customer retention.
Promote company products and services wherever possible, building strong business relationships that willaid delivery of company targets, growth with increased sales revenues and profits.
Preparation of month end accounts for designated business units including P&Ls, Balance
Sheets, reconciliations and variance analysis to budgets, forecasts and prior year numbers.
Assisting with the year end for the Groupof companies and liaising with external auditors.
Review of Purchase and Sales Ledger activities, plus preparation of the Groups VAT Returns
Handling of Internal and External queries and requests.
Assist with the effective management of stock levels, spares, consumables and materials ensuring
all company processes and procedures are met, including the preparation and/or update of
process documentation where applicable
Monthly reports, preparation and validation of reconciliations.
Support and assist with annual internal and external auditing.
Provide support and mentoring to Accounts Assistant.
Our client is hoping to acquire a candidate with the following skills and experience.
- Relevant accounting and financial experience
- Excellent numerical ability and skills
- Production of Monthly Management Accounts and associated commentary
- Data manipulation experience (particularly strong Excel skills)
- Working with auditors, preparation of year end accounts and related submissions as required
- Use of Finance and operational platforms (E.g. Sage 200)
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Participation in projects for improved efficiency and initiatives
- Understanding of service levels and service delivery to clients
- Proficient MS office skills, specifically MS Excel, Outlook, Word and Powerpoint
- Ability to successfully follow and improve processes, meet deadlines, and deliver required result
