gap technical are proud to be representing this manufacturing business in their search for a Warehouse Team Leader to work at their facility based near Welwyn Garden City
Performance Objectives
- Responsible for coordinating the requirements of a small warehouse team
- Able to work without direct supervision and to co-operate as part of a team.
- Receiving, shipping, handling, distribution, and storage of product, and supplies that come in and out of the warehouse,
- Ensuring all customer orders are correctly despatched at designated time
- Ensuring all customer orders are packaged to required standard
- Ensuring all goods delivered to the Company are booked in according to company procedures and distributed to relevant areas including appropriate labelling and location identification
- Ensure all deliveries are inspected in relation to quantity, quality, dimensions as required by the Quality Department
- Responsible for arranging timely collection/delivery of all subcontract work
- Communicate all delays or variances in inbound/outbound shipments to planning team and Operations Manager.
- Maintain appropriate and complete documentation regarding regulated products and/or hazardous materials.
- Monitor and manage customs shipping documentation
- Responsible for ensuring all relevant manual and computer records are maintained.
- Chase parts from Chemi-mill to go out to Sub-contract and other relevant departments
- Liaise with planning team to coordinate raw materials and Guillotine parts to production
- Ensure full cross training with Goods Out to ensure labour cover and extra help in busy periods
- Ensure that work is conducted in a safe environment according to safe
Person Specification
- A-C GCSE Level or equivalent in English and Maths;
- Health & Safety certificate
- Knowledge warehouse processes
- Experience of leading teams
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- IT proficiency with the ability to input and retrieve data
