We're working exclusively with a privately owned residential contractor renowned for delivering high-quality new build housing schemes across London and the Home Counties. As they continue to grow, they're looking to appoint a Senior Site Manager to support the Project Manager on a landmark 98-unit RC frame development in Welwyn Garden City.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor that genuinely values its people and can offer long-term career development and progression.
The Role:
Joining as the No.2 to an experienced Project Manager, you'll take a lead role in driving day-to-day site operations, subcontractor management, and quality control across this complex RC frame scheme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Project Manager in delivering a 98-unit RC frame development safely, on time, and to specified quality standards
- Manage site logistics, trades, subcontractors, and daily coordination
- Ensure strict adherence to H&S standards and company procedures
- Maintain excellent working relationships with subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams
- Manage QA, inspections, and handover processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement and promote best practice on site
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager or strong Site Manager stepping up
- Must have significant RC frame experience on residential new build schemes
- Experience delivering Housing Association / Social Housing units
- Background working for a main contractor is essential
- Strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills
