Marketplace Marketing Lead

Location: Welwyn Garden City (Hybrid - 2-3 days in-office)Salary: £25,000 - £40,000 DOE

Overview

An established retail business in Welwyn Garden City is seeking a Marketplace Marketing Lead to manage advertising, listings, and promotional strategies across platforms like Amazon and Walmart. The role focuses on driving revenue through data-led campaigns, listing optimisation, and effective collaboration across teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage seasonal and always-on campaigns (e.g. Prime Day, Black Friday) across Amazon and other marketplaces.
  • Optimise listings - titles, bullet points, imagery, and A+ content - to boost visibility and conversions.
  • Analyse sales data, customer behaviour, and search trends to refine targeting and improve forecasting.
  • Align advertising with stock levels, pricing, and promotional calendars in collaboration with Merchandising and Finance.
  • Brief creative teams and integrate marketplace activity into broader marketing campaigns.
  • Track performance, report insights, and adjust strategies to maximise ROI.

Candidate Profile

Essential:

  • At least 2 years' experience managing Amazon advertising (Seller or Vendor Central).
  • Strong data skills with a commercial mindset.
  • Confident communicator and team collaborator.
  • Proficient in tools like Amazon Brand Analytics or Intentwise.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Amazon DSP or Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC).
  • Multi-channel marketing background.
  • Knowledge of ad automation or ERP/marketing platforms.

Success Indicators:

  • Maintaining TACOS under 2%
  • Improved CTRs and conversion rates
  • Growth in impressions and clicks
  • Accurate forecasting and campaign alignment with stock and pricing
