Overview
An established retail business in Welwyn Garden City is seeking a Marketplace Marketing Lead to manage advertising, listings, and promotional strategies across platforms like Amazon and Walmart. The role focuses on driving revenue through data-led campaigns, listing optimisation, and effective collaboration across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage seasonal and always-on campaigns (e.g. Prime Day, Black Friday) across Amazon and other marketplaces.
- Optimise listings - titles, bullet points, imagery, and A+ content - to boost visibility and conversions.
- Analyse sales data, customer behaviour, and search trends to refine targeting and improve forecasting.
- Align advertising with stock levels, pricing, and promotional calendars in collaboration with Merchandising and Finance.
- Brief creative teams and integrate marketplace activity into broader marketing campaigns.
- Track performance, report insights, and adjust strategies to maximise ROI.
Candidate Profile
Essential:
- At least 2 years' experience managing Amazon advertising (Seller or Vendor Central).
- Strong data skills with a commercial mindset.
- Confident communicator and team collaborator.
- Proficient in tools like Amazon Brand Analytics or Intentwise.
Desirable:
- Experience with Amazon DSP or Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC).
- Multi-channel marketing background.
- Knowledge of ad automation or ERP/marketing platforms.
Success Indicators:
- Maintaining TACOS under 2%
- Improved CTRs and conversion rates
- Growth in impressions and clicks
- Accurate forecasting and campaign alignment with stock and pricing
