We’re seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join a supportive payroll team based in Welwyn Garden City.  You'll be part of a team of three, responsible for delivering accurate and timely payroll services for a dynamic business. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving problems and helping others.  Key Responsibilities:
  • Processing weekly and monthly timesheets: Accurately inputting and validating time data for a range of employees
  • Payroll calculations: Handling statutory deductions including tax, NI, pensions, holiday pay, and overtime
  • Generating payslips: Ensuring employees receive accurate and timely payslips in line with pay cycles
  • Resolving payroll queries: Acting as a first point of contact for payroll-related questions from employees and management
  • Compliance and accuracy: Ensuring payroll is processed in line with current legislation and company policies
  • Liaising with internal departments and external bodies: Working with HR and finance teams and responding to HMRC or pension provider queries when required
  What We’re Looking For:
  • Previous experience in a payroll role (ideally with exposure to timesheet processing)
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Confident communicator with a proactive, solution-focused approach
  • Good knowledge of payroll legislation and best practices
  • Experience using payroll software
