- Processing weekly and monthly timesheets: Accurately inputting and validating time data for a range of employees
- Payroll calculations: Handling statutory deductions including tax, NI, pensions, holiday pay, and overtime
- Generating payslips: Ensuring employees receive accurate and timely payslips in line with pay cycles
- Resolving payroll queries: Acting as a first point of contact for payroll-related questions from employees and management
- Compliance and accuracy: Ensuring payroll is processed in line with current legislation and company policies
- Liaising with internal departments and external bodies: Working with HR and finance teams and responding to HMRC or pension provider queries when required
- Previous experience in a payroll role (ideally with exposure to timesheet processing)
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Confident communicator with a proactive, solution-focused approach
- Good knowledge of payroll legislation and best practices
- Experience using payroll software
- £30,000 salary
- Hybrid working: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home
