Senior Estates Surveyor
- Hourly Rate: 45ph PAYE

We are exclusively recruiting on behalf of the council for a Senior Estates Surveyor. This temporary position is an excellent opportunity for a professional with expertise in commercial landlord and tenant matters. The role is office-based with regular site visits, requiring at least two days per week in the office, with more frequent attendance needed at the start of the placement.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Conducting detailed property valuations for freehold reversion and lease extensions under the Leasehold Reform and Urban Development Act 1993 and Leasehold Reform Act 1967.
- Managing commercial landlord and tenant relationships, including handling covenant releases and consents.
- Utilising local knowledge to enhance property management and valuation accuracy, ideally bringing experience from the Welwyn Hatfield area.
- Collaborating with the Estates Team to ensure all property transactions and management tasks align with council regulations and standards.
- Regularly travelling to various sites to assess properties and meet with tenants, ensuring all interactions and valuations are conducted professionally.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Commercial Landlord and Tenant specialist.
- Strong background in handling covenant releases and consents.
- Experienced in valuing properties under the Leasehold Reform and Urban Development Act 1993 and Leasehold Reform Act 1967.
- Good local knowledge, ideally with experience working in the Welwyn Hatfield area and understanding of the local property market.
- Must be a driver with access to a car insured for business use.
