About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Relief Chef Manager to support catering services across multiple care homes. This role is ideal for an experienced chef who is passionate about delivering high-quality, nutritious meals while providing leadership and consistency within catering teams.

You will work closely with the Support Services Manager, providing cover and support to homes when needed, and helping to create menus that reflect the needs and preferences of residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide cover and support to catering teams across care homes.

  • Plan and develop standard recipes and menus, ensuring consistency and quality.

  • Work with residents to design menus that meet dietary needs and personal preferences.

  • Take part in fine dining events, including the award-winning Dining Club concept.

  • Lead catering teams in the absence of the Chef Manager.

Requirements
  • C&G 706/01, 706/02 or NVQ equivalent.

  • Intermediate Food Hygiene/Safety Certificate.

  • Well-organised with strong leadership skills.

  • Sensitivity to the needs of older people.

  • Flexibility and willingness to travel between sites when required.
