I'm recruiting on behalf of a leading civil engineering company for an experienced Heavy Plant Mechanic / Plant Fitter to join their mobile team across Hertfordshire. This is a hands-on, highly rewarded role working on a wide range of heavy plant machinery - if you have the experience, you don't want to miss this.

- Mobile role with a company van provided for work use - no depot waiting around
- Mon-Fri, 45 hours with paid overtime at time and a half for anything over 8 hours
- Occasional weekends and overnight stays, fully compensated
- Competitive salary up to 55,000 DOE
You must have:
- Proven experience as a Plant Fitter / Heavy Plant Mechanic
- Experience working on heavy plant machinery including:
- Digger / Excavator
- Dumpers / Dump Trucks
- Cranes & Piling Rigs
- Loaders & Rollers
- Other civil engineering plant equipment
- NVQ or equivalent in plant mechanics or a related discipline
- Full driving license (for van use)
What you'll do:
- Service, maintain, and repair heavy plant machinery on-site (cranes & piling rigs)
- Troubleshoot mechanical faults across a range of equipment
- Ensure all machinery is safe, operational, and compliant
