A thriving independent preparatory school in Hertfordshire are seeking a dynamic and caring Head of Pre-Prep from January 2026. This is a full time and permanent position.
This independent prep school provides a stimulating environment in which pupils can learn, grow and develop. There is a focus on providing an education that allows pupils to make the most of their abilities, interests and talents so that they will progress as confident and independent individuals, with a joy of learning. The Head is recruiting a Head of Pre-Prep to lead EYFS and KS1. The successful candidate will oversee Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 with an aim to maintain excellence within the department and the strong positive relationships with parents. The successful candidate must have significant experience of teaching within EYFS and/or KS1 and is not only an excellent classroom practitioner, but has good communication and organisational skills. You will be creative, a team player and want to lead a dynamic, hardworking and friendly team. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate positive and excellent leadership skills and have had some management experience.
