Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering concept studies and strategies with hands-on design, leading to planning applications, technical approval submissions, and construction drawing issues
- Contributing to Development projects across various sectors and clients
- Managing multiple project/client accounts concurrently
- Providing guidance and support to a team of technical staff
- Engaging in high-profile client interactions and stakeholder management
- Ensuring project delivery to budget, programme, and technical standards
- Producing designs, drawings, and technical reports for construction and masterplanning
Job Requirements:
- Experience in highway design, drainage strategy and design, flood risk assessment, and utility design and planning
- Appreciation of hydraulics, hydrology, geotechnics, and building structures
- Ability to produce infrastructure masterplans, site appraisals, technical reports, design calculations, and construction drawings
- Knowledge of relevant design codes and preparation of drawings for contract documentation and technical approvals
- Aware of current technical and planning guidance on climate change and sustainability
- Proficiency in using software including InfoDrainage, Civils 3D, and/or PDS
- Experience liaising with clients, co-professionals, and design teams, as well as negotiating with relevant authorities for technical approvals and statutory agreements
- Understanding of the financial and contractual aspects of project planning and delivery
