Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering concept studies and strategies with hands-on design, leading to planning applications, technical approval submissions, and construction drawing issues
  • Contributing to Development projects across various sectors and clients
  • Managing multiple project/client accounts concurrently
  • Providing guidance and support to a team of technical staff
  • Engaging in high-profile client interactions and stakeholder management
  • Ensuring project delivery to budget, programme, and technical standards
  • Producing designs, drawings, and technical reports for construction and masterplanning


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in highway design, drainage strategy and design, flood risk assessment, and utility design and planning
  • Appreciation of hydraulics, hydrology, geotechnics, and building structures
  • Ability to produce infrastructure masterplans, site appraisals, technical reports, design calculations, and construction drawings
  • Knowledge of relevant design codes and preparation of drawings for contract documentation and technical approvals
  • Aware of current technical and planning guidance on climate change and sustainability
  • Proficiency in using software including InfoDrainage, Civils 3D, and/or PDS
  • Experience liaising with clients, co-professionals, and design teams, as well as negotiating with relevant authorities for technical approvals and statutory agreements
  • Understanding of the financial and contractual aspects of project planning and delivery
