gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for an Inspector to work at their facility based near Welwyn Garden City

Performance Objectives

Inspection of parts to drawings, jigs & fixtures, lofts etc. and reporting of results (First Article reports, inspection reports etc).
Using measuring equipment such as a CMM, callipers, micrometres, height gauges, radius gauges, thickness checking gauges etc.
Checking paperwork for compliance (e.g. route card sign-off, subcontract paperwork etc)
Knowledge & compliance to quality procedures
Administration of non-conforming parts using established company systems and procedures.
Work in accordance with production & QC priorities, instructions and workloads
Ensure Inspection equipment is fully functional and within calibration.
Notification of anything not meeting requirements.
Use of Microsoft office and Aventa to generate relevant paperwork and records.
Maintain good housekeeping of drawings, specifications, records equipment and work area.
Compliance to Health and Safety / Environmental requirements and procedures.

Person Specification

A-C GCSE Level or equivalent in English and Maths;
Health & Safety Training.
Experienced in inspection protocols
Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships
Good time management and organisational skills.

Desirable

Audit trained
Experience in and Inspection and Aerospace Industry
CMM
IT proficiency with the ability to input and retrieve data
