gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for an Inspector to work at their facility based near Welwyn Garden City

Performance Objectives

  • Inspection of parts to drawings, jigs & fixtures, lofts etc. and reporting of results (First Article reports, inspection reports etc).
  • Using measuring equipment such as a CMM, callipers, micrometres, height gauges, radius gauges, thickness checking gauges etc.
  • Checking paperwork for compliance (e.g. route card sign-off, subcontract paperwork etc)
  • Knowledge & compliance to quality procedures
  • Administration of non-conforming parts using established company systems and procedures.
  • Work in accordance with production & QC priorities, instructions and workloads
  • Ensure Inspection equipment is fully functional and within calibration.
  • Notification of anything not meeting requirements.
  • Use of Microsoft office and Aventa to generate relevant paperwork and records.
  • Maintain good housekeeping of drawings, specifications, records equipment and work area.
  • Compliance to Health and Safety / Environmental requirements and procedures.

Person Specification

  • A-C GCSE Level or equivalent in English and Maths;
  • Health & Safety Training.
  • Experienced in inspection protocols
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships
  • Good time management and organisational skills.

Desirable

  • Audit trained
  • Experience in and Inspection and Aerospace Industry
  • CMM
  • IT proficiency with the ability to input and retrieve data
