Role: Procurement Buyer (EMEA)
Location: Hertfordshire
Type: Full-time, Permanent (office-based initially, moving to hybrid once trained)
Working Hours: 10:00 - 19:00
Salary: Up to £35,000
My client is looking for a detail-oriented Procurement Buyer to join their busy Procurement team at the office in Hertfordshire. This role is key to ensuring smooth operations across the business - managing purchase orders, monitoring inventory levels, and supporting both suppliers and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
-
Manage daily purchase order requests and follow-ups
-
Ensure correct application of discounts and escalate high-volume opportunities

Update ETAs in SAP, resolving backorder issues efficiently

Build and maintain strong supplier/vendor relationships

Provide first-class internal customer service

Support the finance team with invoice or credit discrepancies

Contribute to wider procurement and operational initiatives as required
About You

Minimum 1 year's experience as a Buyer or in a similar role

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); SAP Business One/Netsuite preferred
-
High attention to detail with strong organisational and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities

Self-motivated and collaborative team player

Knowledge of the security industry is advantageous
