We are looking for a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant who can work directly with individual pupils, delivering tailored support in line with personalised timetables. You'll work closely with class teachers, helping to translate educational theory into practice and supporting pupils both inside and beyond the classroom setting.
1:1 Learning Support Assistant (Part-Time, Fixed Term)
Location: St. Albans
Start date: As soon as possible
Closing date: 12th October
Salary: £24,027 pro rata (H2 scale)
Hours: 8.45am to 1.00pm; one-on-one support, inside and outside the classroom
About the role
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering one-to-one interventions in accordance with individual plans (academic, social, emotional)
- Collaborating with teaching staff to monitor, assess, and adjust support strategies
- Observing and interpreting behaviour as communication; applying a therapeutic, evidence-informed approach to responding to behaviours
- Demonstrating initiative, resilience, and responsiveness to feedback
- Developing positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers and colleagues
