A local authority in the Northern Home Counties is looking for two Housing Options Officers to deliver direct support to people facing housing related barriers. They are seeking one for their singles team and one for their families team. Park Avenue has worked closely with this council on numerous occasions, placing some of our best contractors here.

The role:

  • Provide housing advice and homelessness prevention support to residents
  • Assess applications under the Housing Act 1996 and Homelessness Reduction Act 2017
  • Issue Section 184 decisions within the required timescales
  • Manage a varied caseload, including complex cases, in line with statutory duties
  • Hybrid working
  • Home connections knowledge is ideal but not essential

What you'll need:

  • Solid experience in Housing Options, working directly with singles and/or families
  • Deep understanding of homelessness legislation
  • Capable of delivering front-line housing advice
  • Ability to handle complex caseloads

Interviews will be taking place next week. This is a great opportunity to take on a frontline role where you'll directly support households in need, reduce homelessness, and contribute to positive community outcomes.
