We’re seeking a proactive and experienced Council Tax Officer to join our dynamic team for a 3-month assignment. This role is heavily focused on telephone-based customer interaction, supporting residents with Council Tax billing, registration, and the application of discounts and exemptions in line with current legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle a high volume of inbound calls relating to Council Tax queries
• Accurately register new accounts and apply relevant discounts and exemptions
• Ensure compliance with all applicable Council Tax legislation
• Maintain detailed records and update  MRI/Academy system accordingly

What You’ll Need:

• Proven experience as a Council Tax Officer
• Strong working knowledge of Council Tax legislation
• Confident telephone manner and excellent communication skills
• Experience using the Academy IT system
