Key Responsibilities of a Kitchen Chef:

  • Prepare and cook daily school meals in accordance with nutritional guidelines

  • Plan menus that are healthy, varied, and child-friendly

  • Ensure high standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety

  • Manage stock levels and liaise with suppliers

  • Lead and support a small kitchen team

Key Requirements of a Kitchen Chef:

  • Has previous experience in catering, ideally in a school or similar setting

  • Holds a Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate (or higher)
