Commercial Gas Engineer

North West and Central London

£55k basic & vehicle, OT & packageOur client has been trading for over 20 years and are a true industry leader, with expertise in the design, installation, and maintenance of steam, hot water and air heating systems. Due to contract awards and expansion, they are now seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join their team to cover a portfolio of long term interesting contracts in North West and Central LondonJob Purpose:As the Commercial Gas Engineer you will be required to maintain services by delivering planned and reactive maintenance to an agreed programme, budget and quality within the company's operational targets.To carry out inspections, diagnose faults, fit parts and carry out repairs.Testing and servicing of Commercial Boilers and associated equipment.To undertake gas servicing, repairs and maintenance.To carry out other maintenance, repairs and remedial works as directed.To comply with safe working practices ensuring the safety of the workforce and public is maintained at all times.To comply with the company's Health & Safety policy at all times and follow all related safe systems of work. Attend safety meetings, training and briefings as may be required.Experience required* Minimum 5 years Relevant experience of working in the commercial gas industry* Knowledge of Plumbing & Commercial Gas Engineering* Repairs / Servicing / Maintenance and Installation* Experience as a suitably qualified heating/gas service engineer working in commercial and/or domestic premises* A working knowledge of heating distribution and ventilation system is essential, as the majority of works will be within plant rooms with all associated equipment.* Experience with routine maintenance of associated plant items such as pumps, heat changers, pressure vessels and valves.* Ability to use a PDA device* Call out rota 1 in every 8 weeksQualifications required:* CODNCO1 / COCN1 Core Commercial Gas Safety ESSENTIAL* CORT1, CIGA1, ICPN1, CDGA1, TPCP1A* CCN1, CENWAT, CEN1, HTR1, CPA1, CKR1* WAT1 Water Heaters* UDHW Unvented Domestic Hot Water* LPG qualified Desirable not essential* TPCP1 Testing & Purging Desirable not essential* Valid full clean driving licence is maintained* DBS Check required.Salary / Benefits Package*Competitive Salary dependent on experience to £55k* 25 days Holiday Plus Bank Holidays ( Rises with service)* Pension Scheme with salary sacrifice scheme of 4% Employer contribution* Employee Assistance Programme* Death In Service benefit 4x Salary* Van, Fuel Card, Phone, PDA and PPE, travel time and plenty of overtime on offerThis is a great opportunity for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a long established company that offers great benefits and ongoing career development.
