An enthusiastic and skilled Drama Teacher is required to join the vibrant and supportive Performing Arts department of an Outstanding girls' school in Brent, commencing in September. This permanent full-time position offers an exceptional opportunity to ignite a passion for drama and develop performance skills, creativity, and self-expression in students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16).

Responsibilities

You will plan and deliver engaging Drama lessons that explore a range of theatrical techniques, texts, and performance styles.
The role involves fostering students' confidence, communication, and collaborative skills through active participation in dramatic activities.
You will cultivate a stimulating and inclusive studio environment where every student feels empowered to take risks, explore their creativity, and develop their individual talents.
You will assess and monitor student progress in Drama with care, providing constructive feedback that encourages their growth as performers and thinkers.

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Drama or a closely related subject is essential.
Experience teaching engaging and effective Drama lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 is highly desirable.
A strong understanding of dramatic theory and practice, coupled with the ability to inspire students and facilitate creative exploration, is expected.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside strong classroom management and the ability to create a positive and supportive atmosphere, are vital.
