We are looking for aScience Teacher with a specialism and passion for Chemistry to join a well-regarded Independent school in Brent for a temporary position commencing immediately. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16) with the fundamental principles of chemistry and their relevance to the world around them.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science Teacher lessons with a focus on Chemistry to Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Prepare students effectively for GCSE Science examinations, with a strong emphasis on chemical concepts.
  • Foster a stimulating and inquiry-based learning environment for scientific exploration and experimentation in chemistry.
  • Assess and monitor student progress in Science (Chemistry), providing clear and constructive feedback to support their understanding.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Chemistry or Science with a strong Chemistry background.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Science Teacher lessons with a focus on Chemistry at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • A strong and comprehensive knowledge of chemical principles and effective teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex chemical ideas clearly and engagingly to students.
