About Us:We are a dynamic and inclusive school located in the heart of Brent, dedicated to fostering a positive, supportive, and high-achieving environment for our students and staff alike. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a proactive and organised HR Assistant to join our administrative team and support the smooth running of all HR functions across the school.

The Role:As HR Assistant, you will work closely with the HR Manager and senior leadership to deliver efficient and confidential administrative support across all aspects of human resources. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your HR career in a rewarding educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the recruitment process including advertising vacancies, arranging interviews, and processing safer recruitment checks (DBS, references, etc.)

  • Maintain accurate and confidential HR records and staff files

  • Assist with on boarding and induction for new staff

  • Monitor staff absence, holidays, and leave records

  • Support payroll preparation and liaise with external payroll providers

  • Provide general HR administrative support to the leadership team

About You:

  • Previous administrative experience, ideally in HR or within a school setting

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities

  • Understanding of safer recruitment and GDPR (training can be provided)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (e.g. SIMS, Arbor) is an advantage

  • CIPD qualification (or working towards) desirable but not essential
