Role Overview

As a Senior Site Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of retrofit social housing refurbishment projects. Your role will involve overseeing on-site activities, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. You will also be responsible for managing project budgets, schedules, and client relationships, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all on-site activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines.

  • The Senior Site Manager will be responsible for managing all site paperwork, ensuring day-to-day quality control, and maintaining accurate records of progress, safety compliance, and variations throughout the project.

  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and trades to ensure efficient workflow and quality workmanship.

  • Monitor and manage site resources, including materials and equipment, to ensure availability and proper utilisation.

  • Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments and implementing safety measures.

  • Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, material requisitions, and health and safety documentation.

  • Collaborate with the project team to prepare and update project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks.

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to provide updates and address any concerns.

  • Manage project budgets and ensure cost control measures are implemented effectively.

  • Ensure that quality standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to site staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience in managing retrofit social housing refurbishment projects.

  • Strong knowledge of energy efficiency standards and regulations applicable to social housing.

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.

  • Based in or able to commute to the Northwest London area.

  • Demonstrated longevity with current or recent employers.

  • Experience in managing project budgets and schedules.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with PAS 2035 and PAS 2030 standards.
