Role Overview

As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of retrofit social housing refurbishment projects. Your role will involve managing on-site activities, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines.

  • The Site Manager will be responsible for managing all site paperwork, ensuring day-to-day quality control, and maintaining accurate records of progress, safety compliance, and variations throughout the project.

  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and trades to ensure efficient workflow and quality workmanship.

  • Monitor and manage site resources, including materials and equipment, to ensure availability and proper utilisation.

  • Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments and implementing safety measures.

  • Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, material requisitions, and health and safety documentation.

  • Collaborate with the project team to prepare and update project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks.

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to provide updates and address any concerns.

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience in managing retrofit social housing refurbishment projects.

  • Strong knowledge of energy efficiency standards and regulations applicable to social housing.

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.

  • Based in or able to commute to the Northwest London area.

  • Demonstrated longevity with current or recent employers.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with PAS 2035 and PAS 2030 standards.
