A vibrant and skilled Music Teacher is required for a permanent part-time position at a well-regarded Independent school in Brent, commencing in September. The successful candidate will inspire a love of music and develop musical skills in students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16).
Responsibilities
- They will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Music lessons encompassing performance, composition, and critical listening skills for Key Stages 3 and 4.
- The role involves effectively teaching music theory, history, and cultural contexts, following the school's curriculum.
- They will foster a creative and collaborative atmosphere where students can explore their musical potential individually and within ensembles.
- Contribution to extracurricular musical activities may be expected.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Music is essential.
- Experience teaching Music at Key Stages 3 and 4 is desirable.
- Strong practical musical skills and a comprehensive understanding of music theory are expected.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with effective classroom management, are necessary.
