Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a specialist Complex Needs School in Brent, which caters for children with a range of physical disabilities and associated learning needs. The school is seeking a compassionate and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.

The RoleIn this role, you will support pupils with physical disabilities and complex medical or learning needs, both in the classroom and during daily routines. This may include supporting with personal care, mobility, physiotherapy programmes, and using specialist equipment. You will work closely with class teachers, therapists, and healthcare professionals to ensure pupils are safe, engaged, and supported in all areas of their development. Training will be provided, and the role would suit someone who is proactive, nurturing, and resilient.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Experience working with children or young people with physical disabilities or complex needs (desirable)

  • A caring, calm, and practical approach to support

  • Willingness to assist with personal care and physical support needs

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • A genuine desire to support children with high levels of need

  • Full-time availability from September 2025
