Are you a nurturing, dedicated Year 1 Class Teacher looking for a new role this September? If so, we want to hear from you!

Teach Plus are working with a welcoming, vibrant primary school located in the heart of Brent who are seeking a Year 1 Class Teacher to join them from September.

The school is a 3-form entry, 'Good' primary school where pupils are respectful and enjoy coming to school and are eager to learn. Staff across the school feel well supported by the senior leadership team, with their workload being managed effectively. There are a wide range of extracurricular activities on offer for the children to get involved in.

As a Year 1 Class Teacher you will be required to:

  • Take on full classroom responsibilities, including planning, preparation, marking and assessments
  • Plan and deliver lessons in line with the UK National Curriculum
  • Use a range of different primary class teacher strategies and resources to support pupils' learning and development, including learning through play, phonics, and early numeracy skills.
  • Maintain consistent relationships with parents surrounding their academic progression
  • Attend meetings and INSET days to further support the internal development of the school

The ideal candidate for the Year 1 Class Teacher role will have:

  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
  • Recent primary class teacher experience within a primary school setting
  • A strong work ethic who is willing to commit for at least one academic year
  • UK recognized Teaching Qualification with QTS
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK
