Quantity Surveyor - Major Industrial Build (25M Project)

Location: Wembley / Heathrow Area
Salary: 60,000 - 85,000 + package (DOE)
Contract Type: Permanent

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering a flagship 25M industrial development in the Wembley / Heathrow region. This is an excellent opportunity to take commercial responsibility on a high-profile project with a contractor known for delivering large-scale industrial, logistics, and commercial schemes across the UK.



The Role

You will play a key role in the commercial management of a new-build industrial facility, involving steel-frame construction, external works, and specialist subcontract packages. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing commercial aspects of the project from procurement through to final accounts

  • Preparing and reviewing subcontract tenders, contracts, and valuations

  • Monitoring cost control, forecasting, and reporting to senior management

  • Ensuring contract compliance and managing risk throughout the project lifecycle

  • Collaborating closely with project management, design, and site teams to ensure smooth delivery



Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for a main contractor

  • Experience on industrial sheds, logistics units, or large steel-frame builds is highly desirable

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage complex subcontract packages

  • Solid understanding of JCT or NEC contracts

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
