Are you a creative, passionate Art Teacher who thrives in nurturing the talents of students who think differently?


This School is a specialist Pupil Referral Unit in Brent, supporting young people who have experienced barriers to learning in mainstream education. The School provide a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where students are empowered to re-engage with learning and build confidence through creativity.

They are currently seeking a dedicated Art Teacher who can bring energy, empathy, and innovation to their small but committed team.

The role 

 

  • Deliver high-quality, inclusive Art lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of learning needs, including SEMH, Autism, and ADHD

  • Foster creativity and self-expression in students, helping them build confidence and resilience

  • Plan and deliver lessons that align with curriculum expectations while also supporting emotional development

  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and pastoral staff to ensure students are fully supported

  • Contribute to a positive and restorative school culture where every child feels valued

They role requires 

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)

  • Experience teaching Art in mainstream or alternative provisions

  • A calm, patient, and creative teaching style

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills, particularly in SEMH settings

  • A passion for helping vulnerable young people reach their potential
