An enthusiastic and qualified Physical Education Teacher is required to join the dedicated and energetic PE department of an Outstanding mixed school in Brent, commencing in September. This permanent full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the physical and personal development of students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16).

Responsibilities

• You will plan and deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across all key stages, promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle.
• The role involves fostering excellent learning and progress in a wide range of sporting activities, catering to the diverse interests and abilities of students.
• You will contribute to a positive and supportive atmosphere with excellent student behaviour, ensuring an active and productive learning environment.
• You will play a role in raising student aspirations and providing opportunities for participation in extracurricular sporting activities, aligning with the school's commitment to holistic development.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Physical Education is essential.
• Experience teaching engaging and effective PE lessons across the secondary age range is highly desirable.
• A strong knowledge of various sports and physical activities, along with an understanding of health and safety, is expected.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills are vital to effectively engage with students and colleagues.
