KS1 SEND Teacher - Creative Curriculum | September Start
?? Brent, North West London?? MPS1 - MPS6 (Inner London) | Full-time??? Start Date: September 2025
SANZA Teaching are working in partnership with a creative and nurturing SEND school in Brent to recruit a KS1 Teacher with a flair for the arts, a passion for inclusive learning and a warm, child-centred approach.
This unique and inspiring school is a small, specialist setting with a "family-feel" atmosphere. Known locally for its exceptional relationships with families and holistic approach to education, it is a place where pupils thrive both academically and emotionally. With a recent Ofsted report highlighting 'Outstanding features' and strong academic foundations, this school provides the best of both worlds - a structured curriculum and a vibrant, nurturing environment.
Though this is a special school setting, around 85% of pupils successfully transition to mainstream secondary schools, and the curriculum reflects this aspiration. Every child is supported to achieve their personal best through small class sizes, exceptional adult ratios and a curriculum rich in music, drama, PE, art and creativity.
About the Role
This KS1 role is teaching a small group of 10 pupils (all with EHCPs for autism) following the National Curriculum. You will have the support of three experienced teaching assistants, and you'll work within a team of forward-thinking, collaborative teachers who truly care about the children they serve.
Pupils are bright, curious and full of character. Many are sensory-seeking or benefit from visual structure, and the school has created a calm, engaging environment that supports their needs through colour-coded zones, sensory play equipment and specialist resources. Lessons are active, creative and rooted in real-life learning.
The school loves teachers with a creative background - whether in music, drama, art or performance - and values imaginative educators who can bring learning to life through movement, rhythm, storytelling and expression.
