Veritas are looking for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work with students who have a range of Special Educational Needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges and behavioural needs. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students succeed both academically and emotionally. This SEN Teaching Assistant position is ideal for someone who is patient, resilient, and committed to making a positive impact.

Your role will include:

  • Providing tailored support to students with SEN, both in and out of the classroom

  • Working closely with teaching staff, SENCOs and external professionals

  • Supporting pupils with SEMH needs to help them regulate emotions and stay engaged in learning

  • Building positive relationships and offering consistent, empathetic support

  • Helping to create a safe, structured and encouraging learning environment
