Tradewind Recruitment is currently working in partnership with a well-regarded mainstream primary school in Brent, which is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join its dedicated SEND provision for children with Autism.

The RoleIn this role, you will provide tailored support to pupils with Autism, both on a one-to-one basis and in small group settings. Your responsibilities will include helping pupils access the curriculum in ways that meet their individual needs, fostering independence, encouraging confidence, and supporting the development of social and communication skills. You will work collaboratively with teachers and therapists to create a calm, structured, and inclusive environment where every pupil is enabled to thrive.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Previous experience supporting pupils with Autism or working in a specialist SEND setting

  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to support

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • A genuine passion for working in a SEND environment

  • Full-time availability from September 2025
