The school provides specialist support for students with Physical Disabilities (PD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). With approximately 323 pupils, the curriculum is ambitious and flexible, fostering independence, curiosity, and personal growth.

The Role:

  • Year Groups: 8-11 (KS2/3/4)
  • SEN Needs: Behaviour-focused, high profile, will keep you on your feet
  • Class Size: 8 Max (TA's to support)
  • Student Needs: GLD, ASD, SEMH, ADHD
  • Full-time
  • Learning Approach: Sensory-led lessons for all autistic students

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience in SEN teaching
  • Excellent behaviour management, and use of PECS, Makaton, Social Stories, Visuals.
  • Child and adult DBS on the update service
  • 2 professional references covering the past two years of your employment
