SEN Teacher / Cover Supervisor - KS4/KS5 (ASC & Complex Needs)

Location: North London
Pay: 200 - 250 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Start Date: ASAP

We're looking for an experienced and compassionate SEN Teacher or Cover Supervisor to join a specialist provision in North London, working with a small KS4/KS5 group of students with Autism (ASC), complex learning needs, and communication difficulties. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with additional needs within a supportive and well-resourced setting.

The role:

  • Teach and support a small group of learners aged 14-19 with a range of additional and complex needs

  • Plan and deliver tailored lessons focusing on communication, independence, and life skills

  • Collaborate with therapists, support staff, and senior leaders to implement EHCP targets

  • Use visual supports, sensory activities, and adapted communication strategies

  • Create a calm, positive, and inclusive classroom environment

You'll need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or experience as a Cover Supervisor or HLTA within an SEN setting

  • Strong understanding of Autism, complex needs, and communication difficulties

  • Experience supporting students with ASC, SLD, or PMLD

  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and organisational skills

  • A patient, flexible, and nurturing approach to supporting learning
