Salary: Competitive basic circa 35K + (Neg.) + Uncapped commission! + Benefits

About the Role
Applause IT is recruiting on behalf of a leading payments provider. We are looking for a driven, street-smart Field Payments Specialist to bring new card payment clients on board across the Midlands.
This is a true business development role - you'll be out in the field every day, meeting business owners and decision-makers, pitching our card processing solutions, and converting conversations into live merchants. Once a merchant is onboarded, it is handed over to our internal team, allowing you to move straight onto the next opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily face-to-face business visits across the Midlands
- Pitch and onboard new merchants to LCG Payments
- Provide clear rate comparisons and present savings
- Maintain pipeline and activity via CRM
- Prospect across high streets, retail parks, hospitality venues, independents, and multi-site operators
- Convert conversations into completed applications and live MIDs
- Promote EPOS + payments bundles where relevant
- Handover live accounts to internal teams with no ongoing management
- Attend networking events, demos, and trade shows as required
About You
- Proven experience selling card payment solutions, merchant services, or similar financial products
- Comfortable with high-volume, face-to-face prospecting and door-to-door business development
- Confident speaking with business owners, managers, and decision-makers
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and resilient in a field-based environment
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the Midlands
