Salary of the Skilled Vehicle Technician / LCV Technician / Light Commercial Vehicle Technician / Fleet Technician / Fleet Engineer / Senior Vehicle Technician / Van Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician / Workshop Foreman / Master Technician / Diagnostic Technician: £40,000 - £45,000 basic plus Bonuses
Hours of work: Monday to Friday days - No Saturdays!!

My client, a busy independent family business that has been established for over 45 years, is looking for a Skilled Senior Technician with Diagnostic skills to join their friendly team in West Bromwich.
They predominantly repair fleets of vehicles for many organisations and their business is growing and to meet demand they need a skilled Technician to join them, this is a great opportunity to join a company where you are not just a number but a part of the family.
Job Description for the Skilled Vehicle Technician / LCV Technician / Light Commercial Vehicle Technician / Fleet Technician / Fleet Engineer / Senior Vehicle Technician / Van Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician / Workshop Foreman / Master Technician:
? General vehicle mechanical repairs including timing belts, clutches, engine repairs & diagnostics
? Diagnostics and Electrical Fault Finding including AdBlue and DPF fault finding experience necessary.
? Supporting Apprentices and sharing knowledge with junior technicians to promote learning.
? Role covers work on all makes of vehicles (predominantly Car and LCV)
? Ensure all chargeable labours, parts and fluids are recorded appropriately for each job.
? Provide our customers with sensational customer service.
? NO SATURDAYS! (Mon - Fri)
My client offer fantastic Training Pathways, you will embark on our very own Training Pathways Programme - you will have the opportunity to upskill with bespoke training to further your skills and ensure you are kept up-to-date as vehicle technology moves forward. This includes personalised training and support for attending training courses funded by the company
Skills and Requirements for the Skilled Vehicle Technician / LCV Technician / Light Commercial Vehicle Technician / Fleet Technician / Fleet Engineer / Senior Vehicle Technician / Van Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician / Workshop Foreman / Master Technician / Diagnostic Technician:
- Candidate should be at least NVQ Level 3 qualified.
- Candidate should have at least 5 years experience in the automotive industry. Independent garage experience preferable.
- Experience working on Cars and LCV essential.
- Candidate should be fun and easy going with a hard work ethic and a focus on providing great customer service.
- A can do attitude is essential and the ability to work in a team and work under pressure is a pre-requisite.
- Supervisory experience is preferred
- Diagnostic experience
- Above all else, honesty and integrity is paramount.
