BALPA has two new posts for Communications Officers (Company Councils) who are responsible for developing and delivering the strategy for all of BALPA’s communications for Company Councils (including content on the website, member portal and forums, member apps, email newsletters, social media, traditional media and press, magazine, podcasts and videos). The two Communications Officers (CCs) will work with the Director for Communications and the two Communications Officers (Corporate) to collaborate and develop strategy for BALPA’s communications.

Each of the Communications Officers (CCs) will work in a team with a National Officer, Scheduling Specialist and Engagement Officer to support each Company Council. The Comms Officer (CC) will each look after half of the CCs.
BALPA currently is undergoing a communications review that will significantly improve communications across the board. The Communications Officers will assist the Director for Communications in implementing recommendations from the review and assist the Director with developing the strategy further.

BALPA is currently in a period of reform and modernisation. All BALPA staff are expected to show willingness to learn, change and develop and contribute to a positive, supportive and collaborative workplace culture.
