Looking for a long term temporary school office manager to join as cover from someone off sick.

Senior admin experience needed within a school.

Client Details

A SEN school based in West Drayton.

Description

  • Administration & Organisation

    • Oversee daily running of the school office and ensure smooth operations.

    • Manage and maintain accurate school records, databases, and pupil files (including safeguarding-sensitive information).

    • Prepare reports, correspondence, and documentation for staff, governors, and external agencies.

    • Handle incoming calls, emails, and enquiries from parents, carers, and outside organisations.

  • Finance & Resources

    • Assist with school budgets, procurement, and financial record-keeping.

    • Manage petty cash, invoices, and ordering of supplies/resources.

    • Ensure value for money when purchasing and liaise with suppliers/contractors.

  • HR & Staff Support

    • Maintain staff records, including DBS checks, absences, and training logs.

    • Coordinate staff recruitment administration and induction.

    • Support senior leaders with staff timetables, cover arrangements, and compliance paperwork.

  • SEN-Specific Support

    • Ensure all documentation relating to EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans) and SEN reviews are properly filed and accessible.

    • Support communication between SENCO, parents, and external professionals.

    • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

  • Compliance & Safeguarding

    • Maintain safeguarding records in line with statutory requirements.

    • Ensure compliance with GDPR and data protection policies.

    • Support the Headteacher and DSL (Designated Safeguarding Lead) with safeguarding admin.

  • School Community & Communication

    • Act as a first point of contact for parents and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment.

    • Coordinate school communications (letters, newsletters, website updates).

    • Support organisation of meetings, events, and parent consultations.
