Job Title: SEMH English Teacher
Location: West Drayton, London
Contract Type: Full-Time (Term-time only)
Salary: 130 - 160 per day (D.O.E)
This is an exciting opportunity to apply for a English Cover Teacher post at a secondary SEMH school in West Drayton. This is a school for 11 to 19 year olds with EHCP's who are at risk of being excluded or have been permanently excluded from mainstream.
The school are keen to meet individuals who have experience assisting or leading KS3-KS4 English or with relvant experience working with challenging behaviours. If you can support dynamic, high energy and engaging lessons, we'd love to hear from you. You'll be joining a tight-knit team, working towards raising student attainment through outstanding teaching. You'll also receive ongoing support and training from the school. The successful applicant will have a relevant English degree or English Teaching experience across KS3-KS4.
Skills and experience required
- Confident teaching English at KS3-KS4
- Be proven to raise and maintain attainment levels, keeping standards high
- Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who leads by example
- Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills with excellent behaviour management strategies
Each candidate will be subject to a DBS and police check where required. A successful candidate will also provide at least two references from their previous employer/s.
